a new hopeby PhileineComment: Good workmanlike image. I can clearly see it in a magazine ad, for example, with text in the large white spaces. But as a stand alone image, there is too little going on to sustain my interest. |

Botanical IIby davidbedardComment: I like most of the details here. You've got a few highlights that are blown out. And the reflections look "dry" like the flower is dead rather than moist, waxy and alive. The black lump in the lower right doesn't help. Maybe get closer to the bloom? |

Botany: The study of plants.by aKiwiComment: The flower and the leaves are terrific! The face is terrific. Overall: Focus; DOF; Colors; Levels: and so on are very very good. But the combined comp with twin subjects leaves me confused. Show me a little more of the person and make sure I know without a doubt they are mesmerized by the plant. |

Orange Sunburstby mattrixComment: Vibrant colors. Well composed. But it seems overlighted to me and therefore a bit flat. Suggest darkening it a bit, and up the contrast. Maybe some work with levels. It's a good image but is either over or under-edited. |
