This is interesting but it would get a higher score from me iff it were tack sharp and I could see a bit more detail. Difficult w/ basic editing but photoshop shadow/highlights might help.

Meets the challenge and reasonably well executed. Subject doesn't hold me though. Photo is pretty small. Suggest using all the pixels available to you. I think that might have helped some by showing some of the texture detail that got lost.

Meets the challenge but photos of dictionary definitions have been do so much they've become boring. You'll need to make this powerfully unique to avoid being hammered by voters, I think. At least it's well lit, focused and composed.
