The photograph is under exposed in my opinion, and I think the composition does not really show the rope as the subject matter. I do like the texture and focus of the rope with the snow on it maybe a tighter vertical or diagonal crop would have helped out.

This is a very cute little dog munching on it's piece of rope which is well defined, the exposure is great and it is very well focused and composed, I really like how it turned out, nice work.

I think you tried to sharpen this too much which created a lot of noise and got rid of the rope texture in the process.I think it would look much better if it looked more natural.

Don't be so mad you're not over the hill yet :-) I like the idea it is very well executed, the focus is great, I like the background and the lighting. I wish the loop of the rope wasn't cut off at the bottom and I don't think the thing you are wearing on your head does much for the overall success of the photograph because I keep looking at it rather than the subject. Very nicely done.
