garage sale goldmineby klkitchensComment: In addition to being a fine photo -- harmonious colors, interesting detail and unusual perspective -- it's really funny. And it's the only entry that creatively situates the cover in an environment. |

Sailor - Down By The Docks by mrbig65Comment: Must be for a double album. But I love this image, blown highlights and all. Not sure why. Maybe it's the vintage feel or the hodgepodge of lines. Heavy grain or blizzard? ....don't care. |

Memoriesby NeatComment: Wonderfully atmospheric. Followed by one's memories through the fog or overlaid bokeh. A surprising amount of color has been used in the background, and it looks good. The image is very reminiscent of the movie "The Third Man". |

Toxic Wasteby vawendyComment: This image itself would push a record to the top of the charts. Who can resist it? Funny and clever with a great graphic layout. The eye contact really grabs the viewer. The seemingly moldy and scratchy background is quite suitable. I like the border, too. |

I Can't Get No Satisfactionby David EyComment: There's a singular joy in realizing that the dark object to the right is a compass, shining light on the title and offering satisfaction, indeed, to the viewer. To continue, the overall image imparts a murky unease and irresolution that are psychologically troubling. Well done.... I guess. |

Is This It - The Strokesby timfythetooComment: A busy, beautiful picture. Caught between dream and 'reality'. The two figures balance each other so well. The well-distributed reds and browns work harmoniously, nicely setting off the dark-clothed man and the woman in a turquoise top. It's a wonderful caught moment. I'm also amused to see the bike seat out the window behind the man turn him into a wind-up toy. A favorite of mine. |

Muse - Hard Rock by gyabanComment: What a clever take on the title. The lighting and coloration are perfect. The tooth is fabulous. The casual pose of the man on the beach, just right. An altogether very fine image. |

Human After All - Daft Punk 2005 by Samantha_TComment: A tour de force sci-fi fantasy. The under-skin wire is really well done, though the plug-into-the-wall power source seems a bit impractical --- unless it's just for a recharge. The gallery of outlets, eyes wide open and mouths agape, provide a nice comic touch. I also love how the patch of color seen when she unzips her skin is echoed in her bangles. |

Brick the Wall by Break Your Fxcking Camera (label Basement)by TiberiusComment: First, this is a fabulous black and white --- great depth of field, composition, textures and poses. Exemplifying the song, the boys absolutely depict teenage boredom and perhaps angst. In any case, that's my take on it. The stairs offer a dark outlet. Curiously, there are three sneakers with the left-hand boy and the right-hand boy, situated as he is, presents a single shoe. The graphics look terrific. My favorite in the challenge. |
