After the Harvestby MarstonComment: I have nothing against grainy pictures....when they work....but the foliage on this tree just screams to be sharp and detailed. Or...you could take it the other way and make this a dreamy high-key image. Just rather static as is. |

Cautionby GeneralEComment: Clever idea but the dominance of the flare of the sun make this image more about the sun than the tree. |

Life & Deathby dfstevensonComment: This would be better if the tree did not merge with the foliage behind. Mid-day light contributes to the flattness of the image. Centered subjects can work, but I don't see it working here. Different angle of view, different time of day, both could make this worthy subject much better. |

Family Cemeteryby rayg544Comment: The composition is generally pleasing but the lighting is rough. With the cemetary it wouldn't work well as a silhouette...at least much would be lost. So I think it needed to have a bit more emphasis on the subjet with a lighting to better define it. As is, it is rather flat (without depth). Postprocessing could have helped this image really stand out. |

Tall perspectiveby pedahel7Comment: The line of the predominant trunk leads my eye directly to....dead branches and a blown out sky. :( |

Sunset Twinsby kingsleyComment: This lacks the crispness of focus that would make this more pleasing to view. |

Lone Tree on the Hillby lifternessjtComment: I like the composition. The isolation of the tree along the fence line is pleasing. The reds and yellows seem to be oversaturated, however. |

Single tree in carparkby bogusComment: Busy composition with cars and building, etc. Fuzzy and unsharp, the lights in the tree are difficult to appreciate. |

Ahead of the Packby KenComment: Wish the red of the tree "popped"...as is, the image is flat (without depth). |
