Back Yard Funby Crafty SueComment: There are many things that could be done to improve this. This image is over-exposed losing all important detail--it seems that post-processing could have altered that. It's also grainy, since it was shot in the shade I suspect the ISO was a bit too high. Compositionally, the background is distracting, the parked cars demand too much attention. The object that is truly "stopped" is the basketball, and though the boy's attention is on it (and therefore the viewer's attention) we can't see all of it. Finally, the context feels a bit off too, why is he dribbling on the grass lawn? A worthy subject, hope you take critique well and try again. |

Leaves in the windby arpitaComment: I love the simplicity of this! The light and the wispy clouds add the perfect atmosphere for this subject. |

Lights Out by terjeComment: So wonderfully crisp! Perfect in b&w! The only puzzle to me is the silvery rod coming down from the top, but I assume that's the object that broke the bulb. Classic exercise in stop motion. |

Acid Tripby atsxusComment: Beautifully mysterious! The colors are wonderful and seem to stay in control because of the limited depth of field. My favorite of the many similar shots in the challenge. Good luck! |

Final Approachby sfaliceComment: Neat! I love the ragged look of this bird! What detail you've captured on a difficult subject! |

Tiger Talkby elsapoComment: The lack of contrast makes it difficult to see the subject of your photo--the yawn is only apparent after study. Selective desaturation was an interesting choice for the subject, but did you accidentally desaturate the tiger's tail? |

Concentrateby TranquilComment: Nice expression on the kid and all the elements are there that tell what's happening. The arm, however, is an odd element--its awkward angle is only accentuated by the too bright light and the lack of focus. I think a greater depth of field would have helped...the picture makes me want to look at what he's looking at, but when I get to the ball I'm forced back to his face. |

In Mid-Airby ellamayComment: The light on the feathers makes the subject pop from the backgound. Lovely light and composition! |

The Master's Touchby fotodudeComment: Interesting perspective. The grain lends a film-like texture. I like the composition and attitude of the picture. One quibble, that dirty fingernail really takes away from an otherwise nice image. |

New Familyby fatherofoneComment: Nice take on the traditional wedding pose of hands with rings. Very low contrast, however, takes away from the image. |
