International Roadsign

International Roadsign

Comment:
Nice composition. The whiteness of the cross, and redness of the flowers, in an otherwise muted background is very effective - they certainly draw your attention. Exposure and focus are also good - not quite brilliant, but certainly good enough. And your title - well, yes it is international. Well done.

Composition is very good and colour is vibrant. The lighting looks a little bit harsh though - was it done with a flash perhaps?

Nice framing and composition. The colours are very realistic and I love trees without leaves.

It's a very nice photo although the window steals the show, so to speak.

Well the message of this photo is obvious enough - as indicated by your title! The only thing I'm not that keen on is the border - it's quite harsh compared to the rest of the image which is soft. I think it would be a stronger image without the border, or perhaps a subtle dark border. Your framing of the sign is good.

The photo looks blurry, but it kind of adds a hand-painted feel to the drawing and I think it actually works fairly well. Composition of the image is good and the muted colours work well.

You get points for humour although it looks like the photo needs to be rotated clockwise slightly (to make the sign and building point straight upwards). Focus and exposure are quite good - especially since it looks like the light levels weren't very good.

Perspective and framing is very good. The trees in the background are good. As a suggestion I would have rotated the image slightly - either have the bottom of the sign exactly horizontal of the arrow exactly horizontal, but it still looks good as it is now anyway. PS: A bonus point for finding a sign that says "Hell ->"

The sign is a tad underexposed. It looks like the sun was behind the sign - I had to revisit my sign in the morning to get around this. Framing is interesting and works ok - there's just a fraction of something creeping into the bottom left of the image, but that's not a big distraction. Your title is very good.

Well done on submitting a macro shot to the challenge. The shallow depth of field works well (blurring both the A and E evenly). The border is ok and the photo actually has some interest to it - I keep looking at it. Good work.
