Eye Of The Beholderby mefnjComment: Great idea, i just wish there wasnt such a strong break between the soft and hard focused bits, a wider feather, an easier gradient and it would be the best ive seen so far. |

Self Imaginingby LindaLeeComment: There are somethings in portraits that just bug me, and framing a woman so she is cut off just below the breasts is one of them. It looks awkward and sets up a dichotomy between the chest and the face. Just below the collar bone works, just above the hip bone works, why? shrug, I don't know .
The wealth of detail in the dark shirt is robbing the face of the detail I would like to see. High key is a tough balancing act and I love the idea here to show off those lovely eyes, but losing all detail from chin to cheeks to forehead, is too high a price. |

Rodeo Clownby BaldurTComment: The soft natural background and the strong flash seem to be at odds with each other. good detail and tones. |

Eleganceby Caitiebug94Comment: Your background really killed you here, the strong contrast of blown whites steals gradations of skin tones that ought to make up the power of this image, instead all we get is flat unflattering light. Interesting framing, I love the expression and the pearls compliment the reflections in her eyes, with good lighting this would have done quite well. |

Just Meby J-MeComment: The focus seems to be a bit froward, I see lots of detail in the brim of the hat, but much less in the eye, where I want all the detail I can get. Secondly the highlights seem close to blown on much of the face, the fine detail has been lost. On the plus side I like your leading lines, the gentle swoop of the hat and the hair move the eye around. |

To dance: to play! by njsabsComment: the framing is perfect here with a delicate lighting that suits the subject very well. I hope you will spot edit out those annoying bits of fluff above the key guard after the challenge. |
