I am puzzled by the title. this is a lovely image with a good focal point and some nice tones and textures, but the title makes us think of something that isn't in the image. Im also not too keen on the stair edge that is just barely in the frame, it draws they eye and has nothing to say. the stairs, the drips and the bird are all very solid.

How this got any votes below 5 amazes me, cause you nailed the challenge with a lovely image. The only possible improvement would be to widen the white background to bring it around the sides to lessen the dark lines reflected along the sides of the glass.

I was puzzled by the shallow depth of field here. Usually shallow DOF says "hey! This is the thing I want you to look at! Here, just this is what is important."

But here the line of focus is no different than what we can see of the rest of the frame. I certainly got that the grass was growing out of the pavement, but wasn't sure what you wanted to show me.

The lighting and texture on the ball are great, but the glove ( im guessing the ball is in a feilder's glove) cuts off the circle of the ball and is so vague and has so little information that it's major effect is as a negative. So partial wow! and partial huh?

Nice capture of a moment, its a shame the cyclone fence is in focus and the front dog is not. My eye keeps being drawn off by that expanse on highly detailed fence that adds nothing to the composition.

The lighting and framing are quite good, but that is a very awkward pose. her face says quite reflection and her hand seems to be in the middle of a rude gesture or a phrase of ASL.

A bit strong with the filters; the fabric looks almost plastic, or like very new shiny satin, which is at odds with the frayed ends. Nice framing, sense of flow and very nice tones

Nice textural HDR feel, with very good lighting to add drama, I do find the petals blend too well with the floor, while the stems contrast strongly and lead the eye off the page.
