And In A Flash...They Were Beaten!by imagesbytlpComment: good shot hurt slightly by the framing: There is alot of wasted black space up top and the bottom is squeezed so we dont get to see the whole of the egg, let alone a bit of empty space to balance out all the real estate up top. |

Defying the Wallby CharleneComment: amazing shot. beautifully realised shot, i hope you explain how you did this in the notes. Sadly it is a better shot than a challenge entry, as others have delt better with the challenge. |

IMG_9612group-shotWEB.jpgby sfaliceComment: next time we use the 10-22 group portrait lens,I think it would be better to bow the line back so it looks like we were in a straight line. That way the guys on the outside can look both short and fat! |

DPP_0027.jpgby JenniferDavidGAComment: Feet. feet. feet. Many of this series are cut off between the knee and ankle. IMHO this hurts the sense of people in a space. You can frame them at the neck, at the chest, or sometimes at the hip, but any truncation at the feet looks like you got sloppy. Like the old soldiers used to chant before firing, aim low. |

Ghostly Hands-Freeby littlegettComment: The angle and strength of the lighting brings up the texture of the hat very well, but a bit of bounce lighting on the otherside of the flash would have given the dark side of the hat a bit more interest, where it fades too much into black and the light punches through to make that interesting pattern.
The hat is the star here, the headset doesn't realy add much or go with this very country/folksy hat, and while the table cloth is beautiful, it seems a bit too soft and delicate for the hard pattens set up in the hat.
The inky shadows on the hat where here ought to be some detail, and the slightly blown highlights on the table cloth make me wonder if you didn't dial up the contrast a bit higher than needed to. |
