Overblown sun is a tick off the score but I really like this. I'd like it more if the title was something like, "And then he was gone" or "And then she flew". Love the mystery of the lost footsteps.

Would have loved you to pull a little more shadow detail from the left window to balance it a bit. Great shot but I believe if you had the second face stand out and provide a bit of symmetry it would be excellent.

That this didn't make the top 20, let alone the front page, is more disturbing to me than what this image conjures in my mind. You deserved so much better with this, though I suspect the jury will vindicate your selection. When I was voting my wife caught a glimpse of it and asked, "Who took that, one of your friends? That's amazing." Something to be proud of. I'm actually somewhat ashamed that I somehow placed ahead of this.

This struck me on first view and I wondered long and hard about the "art" question, though in this singular case for some reason my score wasn't affected by my answer to that question. Makes me ponder if I am to climb to escape or climb to enter in. Wonderful photograph.

I love the idea, I love the treatment, but there's something about the chair that feels wrong. I don't know if it's the type of chair (though I love the idea of a simple kitchen chair dragged out here), but its orientation in the frame just seems off. Needs to be rotated either square to the camera, looking in, or looking away. Looking out off the frame not so much. Might have made my top 5 otherwise.

Technically in my top 5 with ties, so I didn't whack you very hard for the chair. :)
