Homeby MickComment: I think this is a really good photo. I think the water droplets are a bit overdone in all challenges - there seems to be one or two photos that uses this effect so you may find your marks suffer. However, I do like it in this instance. |

Flower in Chainsby LadyLinComment: A few people tried this kind of shot but didn't get the composition, colour saturation or DOF like you did. My vote for a top 10 shot. Good luck! |

Out of orderby alfredComment: This would have been an awesome picture if it was bigger and the colour saturation was increased by about 10 per cent. |

Weedsby joncd4Comment: I love that you experimented with DOF here. I would have maybe had a bit more past the flower in focus - not much, only a fraction. however, lovely idea. -7 |

Mating Dance? by photomComment: Congratulations on this ribbon. Not to take anything away from the other ribbon winners, but I really thought this would get the blue. After all, it's incredibly hard to get this close to these birds and you can't exactly pose the shot. This could almost have worked for serendipity! I am absolutely shocked and horrified that you had a single 1 or even two 4s! Anyway... congrats on the high ranking. You really deserved it. Looking forward to seeing more of your work. |

A dog's eye view of our townby scottwilsonComment: Really funny. I love it. My only suggestion is that it lokos like the cars were blurred out in post-processing. It looks alittle funny. I'm not very adept in PS myself so I'm not sure how to correct it. Sometimes you can use several layers and gausian blur to blur the background to give your subject more DOf. I think there may be a tutorial on this on the site. But, overall, I really like it. The fire hydrant really stands out. Too many images in this challenge have no real point of interest or subject to draw the eye - 8. |
