As for the snow, can be difficult indeed. I once had an interesting article about it, was looking for it myself. Did find it this morning, here is a link to it:

Merlinby EnlightenedComment: Nice image, really like the DOF here. Colours are a bit greyish, is that the colour of the Merlin? Personally I would try to remove the small branch that is in front of its head. |
