At the Butcher's by e301Comment: What are you doing north of Watford :)?
This has so much to observe, most of which you have very eloquently outlined in your "writeup".
I particularly like the people in shadow perusing the butcher`s wares, adds that bit extra to the image but crucially, it doesn`t detract from the main subjects....a bit like a "Hitchcock" cameo role.
Superb work as usual.
Definitely a favourite. |

Dollhouse by bucketComment: I totally agree with you that the dirty windows and the contrast in focus created with the missing window and the small gap really add so much to this image.
Great work as always.
Congratulations.

Paying Attention To Teacher by e301Comment: Great image..even though it`s obviously not a selective desat, it does have that feel due to the image being largely red and grey.
Tell the truth Ed...you`re a closet desat man :)
Not surprised to see the teacher getting tough on anyone taking pics,I know from experience(taking sports shots at schools) that some children`s parents expressly forbid their kids from having their pictures taken..even in team shots.
Makes me wonder what kind of home life they have and how many hang-ups and phobias they will end up carrying with them through life.
Rant over, it only remains for me to congratulate you on your Blue.
Well Done. |

Buachaille Etive Morby TallblokeComment: Great stuff Steve....probably the most photographed peak in Scotland but one I`ve never had the chance to capture.
You`ve made a really good job of it.
Congrats on your high placing. |
