Hi Cybele -

Great work on only your second entry at DPC. As stated below the colors and lines are great. It met the challenge very well.

There is nothing that I can see to technically improve the shot. I personally would have liked a closer shot of the bee, but then you wouldn't get the effect of "proportion" for the challenge, so you did right. The only other thing would be a crisper shot. I see a bit of noise and the photo is a bit soft overall.

Overall, I think it is a great photo that you should be proud of. I look forward to seeing your future work.

Regards,
Chris

good macro, and framed nicely. A little soft on the thorax, but not bad

white balance seems to be off (yellow tint). Your crop is also off...needs to be rotated about 1 degree ccw. The straight on center placement is rather boring as well. Really don't care for the lens flare effect either.

Hello Eduard!

This is a very nice shot with some beautiful colors. The crop is nice and is focused well.

Some possible improvements:
As mentioned below, a shorter exposure (or perhaps a polarizing filter) may have helped with the overexposed sun and making the trees silhouettes. It appears you may have ran this through a noise reduction program, as the tops of some of the trees seem to have some haloing. Another minor adjustment, I would have either cropped or cloned out those couple branches on the top left, that are creeping into the frame.

Overall a very pleasent photo to look at. Good job.

This really should have finished higher. This was one of the few entries that actually met the challenge.

I know what you were going for, but the female's pose looks too staged and unrealistic. I like the idea though. Still one of the better shots, IMHO.

don't center your subject. Use the rule of thirds.
