Leaving the nestby talzamComment: Interesting dynamics here -- makes me wonder what was going on and engaging the viewer is always a good thing. I like back lighting but the exposure, esp on the girl's hair and the ground, is a little off here. |

Footprint of the Motherby galatia_nComment: Nice composition and range of tones. Love being able to see the girl's upturned face -- wish I could see at least the mother's profile, too. |

overshadowedby posthumousComment: Only the title, very clever, keeps this from looking like a mistake to me. I think you could have had nice lighting that showed us his doubtless handsome face and still used this idea, especially if you had been able to find a perspective that put the family portrait a bit more above him. |

family shoesby LawtonComment: Though I usually like things in odd numbers (as here), this grouping is not quite working for me. I would prefer to be able to see the back shoe more distinctly and to have another clearly different show rather than the pair of baby shoes -- unless this family has twins which I am going to assume is the case for the purpose of voting here :) Very nice lighting and tones. |

Family Treeby alexlkyComment: Clever title and image to go with it. I like the grouping and the perspective and for me the lens distortion is working for you here. |

Preparing for a feastby gnoeouComment: Good idea -- the preparation certainly takes way longer than the feast and should be acknowledged, too :) Though it does convey that idea, the image is too cluttered for my taste and I'm not crazy about the "importance" of the window in the composition. |

The Sister cAtby ArjComment: I like the echo of the second cat and the lighting and focus is in general very nice. I with the front cat's face was a little brighter but with basic editing, I guess you can't do anything about that. |

Tender Affectionby KristinaGComment: Very sweet moment and I like the composition and back lighting. It works better for me above the trunks where the background is dark -- not as well across the bottom. Nice detail. |

Brothersby NeatComment: Wow, do they look alike! Great happy smiles -- this looks like one of those situations where several people were taking pictures and they didn't know where to look LOL Midday light is sooo difficult -- I would look for full shade next time. |
