Calmby mrbig65Comment: gotta call this one as DNMC to me. this does not capture emotion. this captures silhouettes and may try to force a recall of emotion through the title/image combination, but you could equally call this "loneliness" or "fear of the coming darkness" and still have people react through the title.
it's definitely a pretty picture and i'm sure will score well for you as a result, but not from me. (sorry, good try though) |

Boundby IAmEliKatzComment: technically, bound is not an emotion; it's a state of physical being. |

The ForgottenToys trickriding teamby snafflesComment: I'm not quite sure how to comment here. i'm going for 100% so i'll just say my thoughts on the image:
the warped house/land in the background make me feel slightly uneasy when staring at the doll on the horse - i know something is not right - we cannot see such a shift in the world and it immediately has a negative impact on this image for me from the onset.
the blue tube is inconsistently lit when compared to the background. i know an argument could be made for the snow reflecting light, but the house appears to be lit from the left side of the screen based on shadows, as does the horse based on the sheen, so they make sense.
you appear to have made a shadow in the middle to account for the horse going over it which is nice attention to detail; but with the light on the left side, the shadow should be further to the right side, not directly underneath.
overall you have a good concept here and have put some good work into your entry; the biggest thing keeping me from putting the score above a 6 is the perspective of the house/landscape.
I'm going to take a guess that this is Snaffles for a few reasons (antique-y toys, country home, look of the surrounding area looks like some of the areas south-west of Ottawa (though the same could be said of many country homes); but mostly it's just a gut feeling. |

Volleypugby PaulComment: the title made me laugh, the face of the pug made me laugh more
of all faces in the world, the pug is the perfect "why me" face.
good call. |

i still have a hard time discerning exactly what is happening here, but that doesn't mean i'm not enthralled by the strands of pure nothingness and the crack in reality that these people are holding on to.
good job clearing up the upper-right and upper-left guys from the haloes they had, the image looks quite seamless now. |
