such a sad looking flower, yet it looks like it managed a full life (as far as plants go).
the bokeh here has piqued my interest in creating fantastic shapes of light and shadow to complement our sad friend here.

I'm enjoying this image, but i'm more impressed by the creativity and effort involved in making it happen. I think that may be lost on some and it deserves mention.

pardon the pun, i want to comment on each image and it was the easy opener.

i find myself liking this image for several reasons: it's such a deviate entry from the stock images, it stands on it's own, and it tells a story.

depending on how nit-picky you want to be, and i am being picky based on an image-by-image basis, but this one as is has caused my brain to jar. i like the presented center subject with the arch ways, but the buildings in the top left/bottom right are detracting from the image in my opinion. they are not equally symmetrical, even in a diagonal sense (the topmost building is closer to symmetrical but the round one just has no companion).
i really want to give this a better score, but i can't justify going above a 6

simple with clean lines, but i find myself looking for more here. i don't know what i'm looking for, and maybe that's part of the problem, i just know that it's what i feel when looking at this image.

Hopefully 007 didn't walk out and shoot you after taking this image. he seems to have a real knack for getting the bullet straight down the center of this tube every other time i see it on screen ;p

it's a subtle thing, but i'd really prefer to see the plane of focus in the back of the flower. i know that's very hard to control when you have a breeze (as you seem to have here) and you still have a beautiful image.

Love the contrast here, fantastic setup, the hint of motion in the sky and the pair of couples in sitting out front, you're really nailed this one in my opinion.

6 for Coffee

perhaps it is because i haven't had a good cup of coffee yet today (0 for 3...) and these look like the sort of mugs that you get smooth coffee with a good conversation in, or perhaps it's just that you made a very compelling image, very simple and yet very deep with the 'interlocking' handles, but it made me smile. And I certainly hope you get more than a 6 for the image (you're getting a 9 and a fave from me). :)
