Chihulyby franktheyankComment: A very cool image with a LOT of potential! I would have loved to see a bit more done with the colors and lighting. Color wise, maybe play with the greens a bit to give this a bit more life. For the lighting, I see there is a diagonal line going down the image separating the dark from the light, maybe use a little dodge/burn or put a levels mask on it to exaggerate that a bit more. Overall one of my faves, I scored it an 8 and expect it to do very well! |

Pureby nickybComment: Not wildly original, not an extraordinary capture necessarily, not a giant fan of the bottom left being so dark almost creating a half vignette... HOWEVER this is probably my favorite image of the challenge. The colors are very pleasing and work well together. The smoothness of the globe right above the strong metal texture below it, and the sharp focus in the center with the rest of the image giving off a soft focus, almost mystical feel. I don't know how well this will do, but I know I love this, and scored it a 9. |

A strange tideby CoryComment: I scored this an 8 and have a bit of a tough time explaining why. It was my gut reaction to the image, so it undoubtedly deserves it. I know like the sharp lines, I like the rule of thirds with 3 different textures. The small light in the background on the right is a perfect counter to the light in the foreground on the left. Not sure how many of these things were intentional lol, but this is my highest rated image of the challenge nonetheless. Keep up the good work. |

A Gentle Delugeby mefnjComment: Scored this much higher than similar pics in this challenge. To me the difference maker is the immediate feeling you get from this. Deconstructing it, I like how left side of the frame is light and the right side is dark. It almost looks like a yin-yang symbol. Putting the dark stones on the lighter side and using a stack of lighter stones to put on the dark part of the reflection would have been really cool (to run with that idea). 8 from me, def one of my favorites. |

Invalides vers 5hby OzComment: I really enjoyed this one. I do think though, if you were to remove the puddles, then the eye can naturally follow the line all the way up to the beautiful structure. The way it is now, my eye starts at the bottom middle, then on the way up stops and looks at the puddles because it stands out so much. With that and a little less noise in the sky, I would have given it a 9, and picked it as my winner. Amazing photograph regardless, 7 from me. |
