this is the garden:colours come and goby PennyStreetComment: The black and white works better here than the color would have, I'm sure.
The leaves at the top of the photo are somewhat distracting (to me). And there isn't any clear subject that I find?
The water, I'm guessing.
I dunno. Just not my style, I suppose. |

soonby TiberiusComment: Lovely black and white photograph.
Not sure what (if anything) could have been done differently to enhance the photograph.
The portrait orientation really emphasizes the standing rock/cliff. And the lone sailboat adds interest. |

Sunny Layersby giantmikeComment: This photograph seems a little too busy. My eyes are sure if they should be focusing on the clouds in the sky, or the sunflowers below.
Maybe a more shallow DOF would have worked? I don't know. I haven't shot sunflowers as a landscape before, yet alone in portrait orientation.
I'll have to come back to this one and study it a little further. |

Duneby NeatComment: Love the vintage colors here. Its a unique photo. Not one that I'm sure everyone will appreciate.
I like the darkness vs. light that this photograph plays off of. It's interesting.
Nicely done.

Thorny Wildernessby androgeusComment: LOVE the rounded horizon. It adds interest to the photo. The orange sky is beautiful, its different.
Nice editing on the photograph (especially the detail on the cactus).
Overall, nice job.

At the end of the day....by drgooseComment: A little underexposed maybe? The photo seems dark overall. I have to search this photograph, and when stopping to comment, I see the red barn WAY OFF in the distance. That would have been a beautiful focal point, with the sun shinning down on it like it is. But to the average "speed voter/one second glance voter", they will completely miss it. |

Tahquamenon Fallsby ShutterPugComment: There seems to be some harsh lighting here (from the shadows in the foreground that I can see). Not sure I like the editing. A little too strong on the detail, perhaps?
Maybe getting a few feet closer and really focusing on the waterfall? Or stepping back and adding a vignette to really make the viewer focus on the waterfall? |

AfterGlowby amtyComment: Love the colors of the sky. There doesn't seem to be much foreground, which I wish you would have included a little more of (and silhouetted it). And the powerlines are distracting (cloning them out would have helped here). |

Bridge over still waterby wejnaComment: Love the gold tones here. Interesting shot, but seems something is missing. Can't quite put my finger on it.
Very soft photograph, which I like.
Overall, well done. |
