Jeronimoooooby EpsiComment: I'm confused why there's a small white border on 3 sides of the image, each being a different thickness, almost as though it's an image of an image... but I guess there's a more reasonable explanation, presumably with how this image was post processed. Anyway, I don't know if that noise is an effect of post processing, but looks a lot like the image was just massively cropped in - but either way with the black and white I think it really works here, I like it - just those white borders annoy me =). |

Where's the Balloon?by alexlkyComment: I think it's a great image but the softness/focus spoils it for me, it looks like it was perhaps cropped from the side of a super wide angle? Perhaps though it's a limitation of the camera used. Whatever the case the framing is still good, as was your eye when taking this shot. |

Outdoor explorerby NiallOTuamaComment: So it looks like your image suffered from a similar problem to mine. As you said, 'happy sunshine in garden image' appears to be the key to this challenge. Actually the first time I glanced at this I thought it was a fly sitting on someone's leg in a plaster cast... maybe some others didn't look a little closer before voting =). It's a nice image though, the petal has a great texture to it and the dof is just right, much better than a number of the images that scored better. Message edited by author 2011-05-29 14:12:39. |

Dead Meatby rubentinajero7Comment: I have to say I don't like this image, initially because it appears to have virtually no post processing or effort put in to framing etc, very much like a snapshot...
However on reflection this was obviously intentional and really makes the image as disturbing as it is, more real life than horror movie, which also makes me dislike the image quite a lot.
Again though, obviously this image set out to provoke an emotion, it has, and so I think you've done a fantastic job. I don't like looking at this image but that should be viewed as a triumph on your part =). 7 |

outsideby tnunComment: I don't know how this scored <5, it's a great image enhanced by the post processing. |

Bavarian Buttercupsby OmanOtterComment: The subject and background are nice and work well together, but I feel the flowers a little out of focus unfortunately. Were it sharper I'd have given a higher score. |
