The skin tones are really good. I like the lighting, was it natural or a light?
Not so sure about the background though, if she was farther away from it it wouldn't be in focus as much and that would help IMO.

I think the grain adds some interest to it, without the grain it would just be a straightforward picture of someone's arm, half of their face, and a camera. Besides, everyone aleady knows what arms look like, and cameras and walls, so they don't need to be literal :p

The composition and angle are ok, except for the tower in the background.. sometimes with busy backgrounds you have to either get closer with a wider lens, or farther away with a long one.. it all depends on the scene and how much time you have I guess. I probably would have shot it from the other side of the bowl with a longer lens, which by the looks of the lighting means you'd have to use flash (most skate/bmx photos are shot using flash, partly since the right angle is more important than the right light, and flashes are more portable than the sun)
