Melancholy Babyby NeilComment: Do you mind if I ask what texture you used here Neil? I went full view and looked closely and really liked what I saw. I like the light falling on her cheek and her eyes shaded, adding mystery and thus story telling. What is she thinking? Beautifully photographed and processed. I'd love to know how you did it. Cheers, Michele |

Sundownby Jacko3dComment: A beautiful fiery sunset with wonderful colours and wispy clouds. Looks like someone ran a rake through it. I like the contrast of all that bright colour in the sky and the darker foreground. Michele |

Morning swimby AbraComment: Outstanding shot Abra. The vignetted background makes the bird really stand out, colours are great, you've got the whites exactly right. Excellent focus and lighting. Truly a goodie, Michele |

"Bundle of Sticks" - PAW 2012 - Week 07by shutterpuppyComment: I'm feeling a little dense this morning, as I'm not getting the message here, sorry. Can you explain more please? I'm looking around for a point of interest but there isn't one, so it must be some interesting thoughts behind the image, thanks, Michele |

Swamp Bluet (PAW 7/52)by HarveyGComment: Great shot Harvey, and I love the star burst. It's an interesting plug in that one, I've got it too. Never thought of adding it this way. I love the simplicity of your composition, how you have the branches coming out from the side, and your placement of the bug. Wonderful colour all over, especially in your subject. Michele ps liked your story too |

Week 7by sempermarineComment: I think you've done high key beautifully here. I like how the outline is softened, yet the detail in the face is fantastic, especially that beard. You have it so well focused I can even see a few stray hairs. Great work on the contrasts, Michele ps just read other comments, especially about the tone. My vote is to leave it. That and the sunglass reflections make it even more interesting. |

bugby sulamkComment: The impact for me in this shot is the simplicity of composition, something that I always enjoy seeing. You have the bug positioned well in the frame and I like how you've got the plant coming out of the bottom corner. Your focus is excellent, I can see every detail of the hairs on the plant and striations on the bug. Excellent colour on the bug and plant, teemed with a harmonising background. Very good shot, Michele |

0577-4S The Knothole Fenceby pixelpigComment: I like your idea pixel, I just find that blank wall, well.....blank :) My suggestion next time would be to shoot down the fence and show an interesting dof. You have some nice shadow patterns on that wall, Michele |

S-Iceby NeilComment: I'm not sure about the tilted horizon Neil, but I do like those curves. I think you have accentuated them very well with the black and white rendition, as the froth at the waters edge adds good contrast. There is a nice dappling visibility in the water which is also given definition by the b & w. Good shot, Michele |
