Goodbye world.by GeocideComment: Comments from Grayce for the Critique Club
This is a good composition. The strong diagonal forming from the paper and arm leads the eye right to the pills. From the other direction, the pill bottle does the same thing. Very good use of diagonals on both counts.
The exposure is very good, except for the glare of the flame. It's over-exposed, which is a pity, because the candle isn't even an important element to the picture. It COULD work but would need to be toned down.
This is an emotional theme and you did a good job of portraying that.
That little bright line up on top near the candle serves no purpose and is a distraction.
As others have mentioned, the pills definetly look like vitamins.
Overall this is an effective image, and fairly well done.
Best of luck in all your photographic endeavors.
Regards,
Grayce |

more?by Pep VentosaComment: Strong graphical image. I don't necessarily see the despair, since death is a natural part of life, just part of the cycle. I mean I know death has the sting of separation from loved ones, but I think your real strength here is the lines, and pattern of the headstones. Good! |

The Weakest Linkby rmahanComment: Very, very good concept, and well done. The shadow really confirms the concept. |

Storms Comingby boyte1Comment: Increase the contrast on this and it would really pop. I can feel the despair here. |

'dis pear'..is very very sadby camelotnorthComment: Very funny! Quite unexpected in this challenge. The element of surprise works well. The problem I see is the glare between the mouth and eye. I still like this though. Very imaginative!!! |
