ESB-A different point of view.by catpixelComment: The framing is more interesting than the subject. I especially like the dappled shadow effect. It does offer a different view of the ESB building, with enough to give an impression of that building's character. |

stairwayby nomoreschiComment: The sense of stretching off into the distance, the sharp foreground detail, the pattern formed by the people - far enough away to be a pattern rather than individuals, all make this a picture that holds my interest. |

duotone townby rhipsterComment: The view up the alleyway gives a sense of intimacy. I don't know how much the color contributes to the overall effect, but it is a photo that holds my interest. |

Fairytale Dreamsby larimarieComment: Fairytale indeed. If there weren't people in the picture I'd swear it was a mockup. Is it a theme park? Should I be able to recognize it if I were in the mainstream? It makes a great photo, and amusing after some of the more depressing entries in this challenge. |

Small Town Maize Dryerby SimplicityComment: A good angle to catch the repetition of shapes in the foreground, the taller structure in the background and the cloud patterns in the sky. |

Intimacy of a townby fanfuineComment: Nice use of the courtyard to frame the building beyond. Arches give a sense of peeking into a private space, and the cottage is pretty. |

Old and newby carinaComment: The gate gives the photo an interesting break. The stone building on the other side shows good architectural detail and the buildings in the distance are intriguing. I'd like to see more detail in the closest building, een at the risk of slightly overexposing the more distant ones. |
