Welcome guestsby jjbeguinComment: Just realized that I am never surprised where my images get in the final counting of marks, but I am truly stunned by the lack of response to this spectacular image during the voting. It's as close to what one could call a "flawless" image from a lot of points of view.
The discrepancy between the average marks given by commentators and participants is staggering.
Perhaps the true mark of a great image (piece of art) is not being recognized as such immediately.
Does the majority appreciate mostly the familiar, the nonthreatening, the technically solid work? A question as old as the world.
I had 5 images on my first page and none was among the 10 most admired pictures. |

turn to tellby smardazComment: You chose well this image over the outtake. Powerful and ruthless. |

this familyby jmritzComment: Directly from a newspaper shot at Woodstock! It's sad and comical at the same time, dated, lovable and repelling at the same time.
Edited for unforgivable spelling. |

by jmritzComment: This is truly one of the best of this "phase" in your work. Goes to my favorites.
In a nutshell, I love when the image is not abstract. Message edited by author 2011-06-05 09:01:19. |

Wentworth Parkby daisydavidComment: Totally enchanting! The mystery of this magical photo is enhanced by the bench looking at a different scene that we can just Phantom. |

Shadows of Yoreby instepsComment: A wonderful shot.
I wish that it was less processed. In a certain way I understand the idea of freezing everything to get the feeling of an image cast in stone. But I still wonder how the original was. |
