Lazy Day Fishingby scalvertComment: Brilliant idea--reminds me of the movies where animation and real life meet. The face is a bit hidden but the style is definitely Scalvert. Congratulations on your ribbon ;) Love the hat too. Did I miss the buy the logo hat opportunity?
One constructive comment--the photograph is execptionally well laid out, but I do think it loses a bit of impact with the centric nature of your placement. Perhaps the fish could have been on your left and that way you could be a bit more out of the horz center extending the grass a bit. I do like the way the diagonal is used though. If I imagine the fish to your left and then cover the left with my hand, it's much stronger with both you and the bobber on the diagonal. Just my two cents. |

Waiting IIby KylieComment: Similar to the other one, I like it overall and would like to suggest trying something: grab part of this image, a composition of the far bench and the tree to the left of it, and maybe some of the surroundings that looks good when you crop. I think the look there is magical and would be interested to see how that crop comes out! |

Waiting Iby KylieComment: I like the look here overall--the colors really stand out. What seems really interesting here is the bench that's further away. That really looks painted, as you say. This one works very well for me! Nice work. |

Sodus Lightby ButterflySisComment: Looking at these for your entry. I love the scene here and the composition. The light looks like it's wonderfully interesting. But something seems calibrated wrong. It seems too dark, or maybe just too low contrast. You might tweak it a little. Depending on how it prints, it could be a real contender. |

Rushby SkipComment: Wonderful Skip! Love the motion but most of all, the feeling of glee. Did you try taking any from on a ride? That might make for a great motion blur shot. But I'm too chicken myself. |

paper tunnel.jpgby asijComment: This one is a very nice "abstract" illusion--hard to tell it's rolls of paper. Again, you might try some different crops. |

dropi.jpgby asijComment: Another good one for calm, but seem my comments on your other image, about crops which apply here too.
