.by David.CComment: Absolutely a great idea to show freedom from the constraints of time. IMO the photo could be enhanced maybe by different lighting or a different perspective. |

Life Sentence (kinda reaching)by d14Comment: I like the use of backlighting. Very effective. I see a little bit of grain, not sure if it was added in post-processing or a result of low light condition. I think it adds character to the photo so it's not a bad thing. 8 |

Words of Wisdomby portComment: Very nice, well executed. I like that there's just the right amount of dof on the words. |

Ornament on Potteryby BikeRacerComment: This photo fits the challenge well, nice close-up and framed well. It's tricky to photograph shiny objects but I think this was handled here well. I think you wanted the shadows to play a role in the shot b/c I think that the different shades of purple (background and table top?) are all created by light.
IMO, the subject will benefit from a narrower aperture so that the entire foreground subject is in focus. You're probably far enough from the background to blur it. I like the decorative ball but where it's sitting on is kind of odd. Do these two go together? It's a nice photo nonetheless.
