would you like it on the rocks or up(side down)?by Pep VentosaComment: This picture shows that you put a lot of effort into th challenge. You have everything right, focus, original composition, and color mix. The end result is a little on the confusing side which I feel was part of your intention. Quality work. 10 |

Imprisoned for lightby autumngirl786Comment: Generaly larger pics do better on DPC. I think you have a well lighted and technically sound shot. The lamp appears too centered for continuous viewing, so you might try shifting it to one side ot the other to invoke more interest. 5 |

Skylightby wdebeau1Comment: I am impressed with your technique, but it doesn't reel me into thinking there is a glass subject here. It looks like a new planet or something to me, without your title. 6 |

Lily on the rocksby GalinaComment: An interesting shot and nice macro, but there isn't much in it to suggest that you were representing the challenge "Glass". Ask yourself would an inocent onlooker say "Wow what a great picture of glass"? 4 |

Shaken Not Stirredby frd91gtComment: I feel that this is too dark to spark much interest. It is an interesting piece so composition and different lighting could make it. 5 |

Stainedby alanfreedComment: A nice shot in an elementary sort of way. Good focus, no distortion and nice crop. The colors look to be a bit on the grainy side from over compression, which doesn't allow it to be as bright as one would expect. 6 |

Glass Shipby ChrisW123Comment: I assume that this ship is fairly small, If so it is a great marco and nice composition. I don't really care for the ghost patterns in the background, but not all that bad. good job. 7 |

Iris of Glassby dexter2Comment: I am sure you have heard of trying to put a round peg in a square hole. Well this is kind of what has happened with this shot. The two shapes don't work well together, maybe if you had positioned the complete circular shape inside a portion of the frame it would be more pleasing to the eye. 5 |

Refreshingby StevePaxComment: I am fairly sure you were taken with the bursts of light, and you captured them well. The problem to me , is that the shot is too head on to the subject and all of the flaws show, which distracts from the light bursts. I always heard that with a B/W picture you should try to include the full range of the gray scale in your picture. For sure look for the bright whites and the dark blacks. 5 |

Boy in a Sphereby orussellComment: A very interesting shot. Too bad it couldn't have had a little more light in the globe. Do you think if his face were lighted that would have transferred to the globe? |
