Kumartuli 001by salmiakkiComment: Visually compelling first image Sarah, and the rest as well. Amazing profile of of an organic hands on custom. The focus being on the artistry rather than the characters is a welcome change. An enviable experience indeed. |

00by herfotomanComment: A great Rhino profile Herman, especially for us so used to only having dogs around. I'm with Paul's favourite, the egret/rhino school crossing, the the tail is a delight as well. It is amazing to explore the textures and features of these beauties through your processing as well. |

Found in a Wrecking Yard #1by jomariComment: We've been transported to a metallic amoeba colony on planet Ballarat. This is wonderful, Marion. You have collected so many interesting, ambiguous and anthropomorphic images in such a creative way, a delight for the inner child while we climb all over these relics. |

For aince it’s toomed my hert and brain, the thistle needs maun fa’ again.by posthumousComment: Something akin to a modern Don Quixote, like Ignatius J Reilly, to further Paul's line of thinking (and take from Wikipedia's description of A Confederacy of Dunces). You allow us to wander your forest freely looking firstly for your meanings and then become immersed in looking for that of our own. We all should get drunk and look at your thistle for "Higgledy-piggledy in’t we reel, And little it cares hoo we may feel." |

The Pathwaysby rooumComment: Clive, your composition is spot on, I love the ethereal feel you get from your use of depth of field. It really is a beautiful series, a fairy land trail that I would gladly follow. Such a crowded isolation. |

Will he survive?by lei_73Comment: A great series, show the alter ego states of the people brilliantly.Reminds me of the Dr Who Flatline episode in a particular way. A gallant effort accumulating this essay. I would love to follow your example and collect a similar essay, but I don't think I could match yours and those great titles. Well done. |

Swazi Lo-Fiby ubiqueComment: "Nkulunkulu Mnikati wetibusiso temaSwati" Certainly an enlightening backstory. Such sadness and despair, thank you for bringing it to our attention. Your essay works brilliantly for me on many levels, the artistry of the images, your wit and self parody, the darkness of mood, the presentation of political information and social comment that invites investigation, the paradox of a society so at odds with itself and the world. After further outside reading, the injustices make me so angry, I feel impelled to do something positive, while your presentation brings momentary but serious comic relief. An essay of true proportion that presents a serious statement gloved in craft. I'm sure Khathazile and Erykah Badu would have something to say as well. |

Men-II.1by mariucaComment: Ah men, we really are one dimension at a time, and who better to study us than one with your keen talented eye. An astute collections of body, mind and personality types engaged in your particular petri dish world. Always a delight, particularly #7 and its' subtle precursor #6. Highlights the singular experience men have with art forms (as far as I am concerned, at least), men don't seem to physically share a state of ponderance as women seem to do (or maybe I'm just being a male? ). |
