What Bubble?

Heh the elephant in the room sort of situation eh?. Good focus, decent light, though it is a bit shadowed in the foreground. It feels a bit snapshot-ish, but that could just be all the people milling about with no real purpose. I like the interest the bubble itself brings, from the curvature of the buildings along the side and the reflected people. Feels almost "Where's Waldo"-like. I also like the use of a different sort of bubble. I gave a 5.

Effervescence

Very pretty. I always like waterfall images such as this. The focus and light usage is great. The bubble aspect, not so much. I realize that rushing water typically is chock full of bubbles but they have been smoothed into oblivion in this image. There are also a few (very small) areas where it looks like the lens got droplets on it. Tiny but once noticed they start to detract. I can't tell if this was taken specifically for this challenge or if it was sort of shoehorned in. I wish some bubbles (in their bubbly form) were visible but that's just me. All the same, I gave a 6.

I love the neon color. Bubbles are present, composition is interesting - nice use of negative space. There is good focus, but it seems a bit soft on the outer edge of the glass, wish it was a little crisper throughout. Overall a nice image. I gave a 6

Fountain At Sunset

There are certainly bubbles and so it meets the challenge, the focus is also great. Use of natural light is okay.. I'd suggest some kind of additional light source to help highlight what should be the focus of the image, the bubbles.. unless you were going for the verb usage of bubble in which the water bubbling out of the top is in focus so that would work. I find the composition a bit lax, the main image is cut off and the unfocus rim right at the foreground of the photograph is very distracting. The title references a sunset but the colors are very washed out and also in the soft focused background due to the portraitish nature of the image. Since the sunset has been called to attention by the title, I think its effects should be more visible.. maybe more rays of colored sun playing over the water something like that. I think it was a good idea, but there are some things that need altering to give it more pop. I gave a 5.

Tiny Baubles

I like the bubbles, I wish the ones that had the fantastic focus were a little more prominent instead of tucked in the background of the photo. The lighting is spot on and there is nice color contrasts. That said, though I find the bubbles themselves interesting due to their sparkle, the rest of the photograph's elements do not grab me at all and I find myself losing interest quickly. Perhaps if there was a way to isolate that one leaf with those perfect balls/bubbles of water so the focus could be on there, it would up the interest and wow factor by a lot. I gave a 4

Beautiful colors and lovely clarity with the fruit/veg and bubble. Is this fruit/veg in ice held up? If so it certainly gives a very nice crispness and lets light diffuse very well. I love the clean feeling of the image. Focus is good, lighting is great, composition is interesting. If I'd change one thing I'd do something to give the sky just a bit more color interest, right now it seems a bit TOO bland compared to how vibrant the fruit/vegetables look, the shiny nature of the "bubble" almost highlights how dull the color of the sky is. Still a wonderfully interesting shot. I gave a 7.

"Beginna Luck" - Mr. Myagi. Seriously, I really like this image. Nice clarity, and lighting. I like the play of the shadows obscuring part of the face and the clothes blending into the background. The composition is good but I would've preferred that most of the focus be on the chopsticks holding the bubble, instead of the model's face. Right now the bubble seems incidental instead of central. There is some soft focus on the arm that is a bit distracting and I'd like for the entire chopstick to be in the image instead of cut off at the end. Overall I gave a 6.

I could've sworn I already voted and commented on this.. must not have gone through. Alright.. I like the contrasts, the way the light has been used to make the loops, I like the bluish color tones as well. The focus looks a bit off on the flower and its very difficult to discern the bubble due to the darker nature of the image. I don't know if this is to obscure that it is a glass bowl of some sort or some other reason. Either way it meets the challenge but I wish I could see just a bit more of the "bubble" since that should be the focus of the image. I'm also not sure if I like the straight on composition, maybe something shifted to a corner so there was more negative space.. hard to say with the tones if that wouldn't wipe out more details or not. Overall I gave a 6.

Bubbles

Very nice color! I like how everything looks suspended and floating. I also like how you can see the other bubbles reflected in the ones in the foreground. There's something a little hazy about the focus though that's throwing me off a bit. I do not know if its due to compression or a softer focus out of the camera. I do like the metallic sheen that is shown though. I gave a 6.

Great color and the simplicity of the composition is nice. There is a hot spot in the yellow on the left which is a bit distracting. Certainly bubbles so it meets the challenge and the contrasts shown are interesting. I gave a 5.
