Wide angle lenses make for interesting photographic results - they also are great for incredible DOF and light capture. Beautiful capture though I feel the crop might have held the distortion more centered.

The photo seems a little heavy toward the right side where there is a hole of negative space in an otherwise well defined image - it pulls the eye in but it doesn't show anything. Cropped a little further up showing more of the creamy violet sky may balance this a little more at the cost of some of the light reflections on the left.

Home is where the heart is - in city or country - beauty is not so much as where we see it, but how we feel it and share it with others. The focus is very nice, but perhaps a little bit in front of the wall of houses - The lighting is fantastic - particularly the light splashed onto the building with the red balconies - the sharpness helps define just how close the buildings are.

Cities at night bring interesting sights - even the simple passage of a vehicle lends an artistic blur and streaks of light - it's a shame there are still so many cities relying on the golden amber sodium lights.

Just so you know, I shot this with a broken cam. And that's LED on the black building, not halo. Ok?

The mountain skyline adds more to this photo than the city in the foreground as there isn't a real subject to look at or a definitive place to look.

Magnificent - Everything is clear and focused, the colors are bright without being too saturated - I can't imagine what the evening sounded like from this vantage point.

Having traveled a fair amount I know better than to discount this as not being a city nightscape - some cities do a fine job of incorporating the natural environment - the DOF seems to be lacking somewhat though in that the foreground is soft and undefined.
