by JuliBocComment: Cool art piece... but it might need a towel. (referencing Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) |

fruitful afternoonby tangueraComment: I was hoping that someone would create a composite like this, by extracting the truck and putting it somewhere. You were the only one that took this approach, and it wonderful! The attention to detail is marvelous, and although it's still an obvious composite, the fact that you put this much time and attention into a SC is amazing in itself, not to mention your regular commenting in challenges and role here as a Site Council member. I can't imagine how you find the time to do this and maintain a career in photography.
In general, your photo work is so diverse and enjoyable - always among my favorites, this one is! Thanks! |

painter2-2by MargaretNetComment: Dang it, Margaret. As much as I try to create painterly work from photos, I often hate my end results. But here's a case where it works really well and I realize it's not the tools, its the artist. This is one of my top editing picks.... has been since I first saw it. Thanks! |

DPC-PPChallenge-wbanning-nikcfxdet-FFhdrtist-correctsignby jomariComment: Sure. I'm really happy with my pp tools. I have my "go to" favorites... then I read the words "FilterForge hdrtist" and have a desire to try new things. So, thanks. Just what I need.... more software to lust after.
Thanks for this effective painterly evolution of my photo. |

DPC-PPChallenge-wbanning edit 1by thrumyiisComment: I'm going to agree completely with tanguera. The novelty of selective desaturation wore off for me long ago. And... this reminded me of how it can be REALLY effective when done right, as it is here. What really works well for me is the way you've retained a hint of color throughout the image and how the red and stark white works so well to set a mood. I would not have thought to do this! Thanks for sharing this! It was among my top five! |

Walt & Jesse's Road Trip by Art RoflmaoComment: You're not going to find a much bigger fan of BB than me! Love your creative approach,. My favorite part of this is the fabulous composting work of the cadavers nestled under the chilis (or should I say Chiles?) You must have an amazing collection of composite resources, or do you find what you need as you go? Or do you kill people to as part of your approach to the challenge?
For the record, I'm also a big fan of your photographic work! You may be sick... but it's a healthy sick. Thanks for sharing this! |
