Personally not a fan of this picture. Your shutterspeed in both elements of the picture were too slow and your ISO was way to high by the very visible grain in the photo. Also i find the photo distracting because in the other exposure (people) There are several people that draw attention. In future i suggest you just shoot on a black background with a flash; then it won't add any data except your subject. Also on the flag i'm not sure if you were going for a rustic feel/ approach but the stripes look almost pink for some reason. So i would adjust my White Balence.

First thing that popped in my head after seeing this photo was M. C. Escher Relativity. I like all the levels and the rustic feel of this pic. Amazing shot. I don't even know how i would improve this. Well thought out and very appealing. 10

I like the isolation of the engine; and its placement. The texture of the prop is amazing. I'm guessing a large apperature and a normal lense.
Would have been a bit better had you gotton a little closer to make the crontrast between sharp and blur much more distinct.
