One Lumpby DCrest01Comment: hmm, always confused when an image is scored ones and twos...
i think this is nicely captured. from the clean surface, you may have used a triggering device, or did you nail it manually?
I have trigger that works with my iphone....opens up the whole world for these shots. congrats! |

Moveable Monument - The Lady Washington Tall Shipby Catherine_BComment: this is nicely shot and nicely processed to open up the shadows. very gently done. :o) I didn't score it high though (4), because I was looking for more on the composition. I think these are difficult challenges, because you're torn between capturing the monument so people know what it is....and capturing it with your own creative twist. For me, this frame feels like it's the former. Trying to show the monument, rather than putting your touch on it compositionally. I think you put your finger print on the post side though. Good Luck! |

Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountainby PennyStreetComment: I love the conversion to BW on this. I didn't score it very high though (4). For me, I think there may have been better 'moments' than the one you selected. There's alot of interesting things going on in the frame...starts with the little girl, but more importantly the workers and the one in the fountain. I'd have loved to see how that played out. :o) Good Luck! |

Monument to Bundeenaby AbraComment: I looked up Bundeena and if I found the right place, looks like a beautiful area in NSW. In looking online, it makes me want to see more of this area in the image. Although this is very pretty in the repeating lines and the reflections, and silhouette, it just didn't hold me well enough to score it high. (4) Good Luck!! |

Shrine of the Southern Buddhaby VBWComment: Looks peaceful. Unfortunately, this was not an image I scored very high (4). For me, I think there my be more choices to the composition. I am never one to crit someone's vision. Because it's your vision. But for me personally, the trees on the left make me uncomfortable in what I feel should be a tranquil setting. Good Luck! |

LaSalle's Landingby crikComment: This took me some time to see it. But this is pretty cool. Unfortunately because I can't see it clearly enough, I didn't score it high (4). I'm not sure if there's any post work done to the image, but for me, I'd like to see the carvings more prominent. I'm not sure how though...:o) I think your 'access' to the sculpture was limited. It may be that it's done in post with selective areas of curves, and adjusting the shadows to show the depth of the carved areas. Regardless, I really like this subject. Good Luck! |

wonders of the world but no $by jgirl57Comment: this is a cute shot. And I like the processing. I didn't score it very high because it didn't grab me personally (although the no $$ part if HIGHLY relate-able..ha!). I was looking for more monumental images. Good Luck! |

Return from Civil War by mluComment: I really like the subject and the comp on this one. I didn't score it very high (4) because I felt it may have been a 'button push' on the post work. I always hesitate to comment critically like that because I don't know what software you're using and MORE IMPORTANTLY...we all have different tastes. But I wanted to explain why I gave the score I did. It feels like an HDR image. May be single frame with the HDR adjustment applied. What influenced my score was that I felt it has flatten out the image too much. Moving everything to similar brightness/contrast levels. Good luck! |

The Williams Familyby GeneralEComment: I didn't score this very high (4). I just didn't feel there was enough strength in the subject to grab ahold of me and keep me looking. As I keep looking, it seems an interesting location, so there may be more there to explore in the details. Good luck! |
