Green phase by sinistral_leoComment: Mike, why did you decide to introduce such an excessive blur on the sky and the grass? Obviously they were not present in the original image. It just feels weird and unnatural this way. How about the shadows? Do they seem off because of the blur you introduced in the image? Just curious why you chose to go down that route because the image just doesn't look right to me. Regardless, congrats on the blue. |

The Flying Paintress by Alex_PetriniComment: One of your very best work yet, Alessandro! Love her expression and pose. There is a great flow in this image. It was such a close finish that I think a tiny thing like the background's wrinkles not being ironed out may have cost you the blue here. |

Happinessby ThingFishComment: Amazing port-processing work. I wonder if a killer sky would have gotten this a ribbon ... I think it would have. Congrats on this fine image. |

A Portrait of Strength and Beautyby kgearyComment: Kevin, this is a great work! Great lighting and great model. I would not dare to go shallow depth of field in my studio like this, my lights are just too strong for it. I think the lowest I have tried in my studio is f/4. I guess I could always cover my lights with an extra layer of diffusion and go even more shallow while setting my ISO to 50. This should have finished higher. |
