Same Old, Same Oldby BJokerudComment: This frosted collie looks mighty cold but is still quite dignified and patient. I like the off-centre angles of this, it flows. |

My coffee mug!by PompouspeteComment: Were it not for your caption, I probably would NOT have known exactly what this was. When I keyed into it, my first thought was that it was definitely much different than most here in the challenge. The eyes are most interesting but the rest of the face looks much like an ogre. The detergent soap bubbles are a nice touch around it as is the sepia almost coffee coloured toning. |

Youth and ageby LonnieDComment: Love the contrasts in this - there is beauty in both Ages and her eyes still glitter and shine. |

The Lonely Commuterby wolfComment: The contrast between the brightly lit and colourful transport and the black and white person is very effective at emphasising the theme of Loneliness. It seems she is isolated, apart, and this is echoed by both her expression and her closed in body stance. It is a very visual and definite contrast and if you look at her reflection in the window you can see two other passengers in completely different miens - one is engaged in reading his newspaper, the other is looking forward. This woman is not. The poster stating "It's complicated...something's gotta give" is an additional nice touch as it most probably sums up the subject's inner emotions. Engaging - I want to know more of her story. Superb capture, eloquent photograph. |

"A Hazy Shade of Winter"by zohar-halfonComment: Your photograph perfectly encapsulates this lyric. The black and white tones of the symmetrical patterned bridge with the soft peacefully blanketed landscape seen behind and the grey snow sky touching the skeleton trees speaks of the sense of loss which is so evident in the song. The buildings of so called civilisation are so very far away. This capture is superb. |
