Makes me want to hurl just looking at them... the drab, dark color really sets the mood for this shot. And that mood is disgust! How do you rate a photo that captures ugly??

Excellent sharp detail. Perhaps a little over sharpened, but that is a matter of personal taste. Lovely color and a natural color on color composition. One improvement might be done with the composition. Put the stamen and pistol in the bottom right third of the shot because it appears to be looking up into the sun.

This is a good shot and I like the still life idea. You got great colors and it has a very old style or vintage feel. The shot taken from above is ok except for two things. First the composition. It is off center and not really in the third of the frame. I would have gone square crop on this one. Second is the light. The brightest part of the light misses the center of the subject. It is too the right of the subject. which moves the focal point of the shot off of the subject.

This needed a more central composition. The avocado is too high in the frame for my liking. My eye rests on the entry point of the avocado in the water where the big part of the splash is.

Lady in Red

The contrast and saturation of the red color give this a more sultry, seductive look. It did however serve to make the ladybug look glassy and sort of unnatural. Still gets high marks in my book.

It's a cute subject. I am not really a fan of the processing though... I know in my mind that the photo is yellow on green and the color overlay does not really change that.
