Good shot and a good representation for the challenge. I think the one thing that could be changed in this picture to help tell the story better would be to use greater depth of field to allow the background to be slightly more in focus to really portray the football reference and show the referee in his environment better.

This is like a scene out of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation! It would have been great for a challenge based on movie scenes or Winnebago's or RV's or Camping or something like that... I think it is a marginal subject at best for a challenge based on stripes.

Really good depth of field on the face but it is a hair too shallow in my opinion as the plane of the depth of field falls away quickly over the front of the body. Otherwise a well centered environmental portrait.

I like the soft focus on the face and the use of what I assume to be the diffuse window light there. I think the softness and the diffuse light falls off too quickly on the side of the head scarf and you are left with harder light and shadows which really takes away from that soft, feminine feel and dominates too big a portion of the frame. The textures are very different too because of the different light. Otherwise this is a really great shot and a wonderful take on the challenge.
