Street photography I thought usually has people in it ... this one I find very challenging as a category but sure as heck a fantastic picture that I think really captures the *feel* of street - quite outstanding

I made the following comment about another image in this competition but it would apply equally to this

I've been away from DC for a while ... it will be interesting to see how this one fairs, I always found grungy stuff like this didn't use to go down too well but personally I love this image. There is more to photography than pure sharp and clear reproduction and the artistry here I really like.
