Thats the thing about abstract photography - you are always starting with something - the skill, as demonstrated here, is makeing that something into something else or even 'not something' ... for me this picture works even better as an abstract with the right third cropped out ....

.... again revisiting I'm loving the lines in this.

didn't buy it as abstract at first, but then I remembered (sort of) some dood in the 40s 50s that worked in Cornwall using state of the art (as then) plastics for very modern looking cubic sculptures - now I've spent a few happy minutes enjoying this photo. I love the sense of movement as space is chopped into triangles.
