Spring Awakeningby AndyMac24Comment: The light on the petals is pretty cool, especially against the dark background. Why aren't there any bioluminescent (sp?) flowers. That would be cool. Well, they've made glow in the dark cats, so why not flowers? Until then, I'm going to have to "borrow" your idea and see what cool shots I come up with :) Great shot. |

Perspectiveby maxxumgComment: The depth of field is really cool with that ground. I wish the flower had been forward just a bit so all of it would be in focus. I like the angle everything is at |

Archangelby MilesWComment: An angel with a barn-owl face. That is really cool. A "Choir of Angels" collection would be cool. All sorts of orchids shot at that cool angle and zoom. Very pretty. |

Wild Flowerby sfarrell23Comment: Thats awesome. I have these growing in my front yard, and a pic of them is actually my desktop right now. Wild Flower in Dallas, TX The angle on your shot is very cool. It looks as if the flower is reaching for something. The detail on the leaves is very nice and reminds us that flowers are only part of the story. There's a whole plant underneath it which is just as beautiful as the bloom. |

Synergyby Dr_TotoComment: Really great shot. I wish you could've gotten closer, but I understand. Heh, frog leaping at camera would've been a good Fauna entry. I like how the frog is almost an extension of the plant. Good title, as well. |

Botanical Abstractby artvetComment: Not my favorite upon first glance. However, if you look at it for 15 seconds or so everything starts to move a little and get a bit blurry. Abstract indeed! I also like the fact that you've focused more on the basic outline of the plant, not color or texture or (insert fancy photography related word here). Ha....i dont know much about photography. I'm glad that I stopped to look at your shot for a couple of minutes. Now it's time to rest my eyes ;) 6 |

Star Lightby moriadelacroixComment: Those reflections are awesome. I wish you could've gotten all of them in focus, but then again, that depth-of-field blurriness makes the flower just seem huge, and that's pretty cool. |

Veinsby LMA128Comment: I love leaf veins. Kind of the feel I was going for with my entry, but your contrast between the veins and the leaf is superb. It really brings out the amazing pattern. I wish the top-right corner was as crisp as the rest of the picture, but that truly is nit-picking. Nice shot. |

Floral Foundationby ZellerStudioComment: What great detail. I almost wish the petals weren't in the picture. That part of the flower (no idea its real name) is just so cool looking and I feel you lose some of the outline of it in the top-left corner. Still, really nice and unconventional take on the "macro-flower." |

Violet fieldby kiskatComment: I really love the colors. Im partially color-blind and I'm finding I really like the blue/violet sort of color against the green. The small incidental details on the leaf on the bottom-right corner are framed nicely by the out of focus flowers in front of it. Very pretty. |
