Lovely. Lots to hold my interest. It feels a bit like an Edward Gorey Etching.

I like to think that at night when no-one is around they perform an elegant dance, swirling their skirts as they pass each other, finally sinking back into the asphalt for another day's rest.

A lovely OOB image for the challenge topic and so well seen. Glad to have this one come to my attention a few years on!

Hope it's not too late to add my congratulations to you Deb, on seeing and capturing this wonderful image. I love the shape of the shadow. How fitting that the dark is broken up with the white of the (ubiquitous) coffee cup!

With scenes taken of or near the water, which includes most of my shots taken here on Cape Cod, I often use Lightroom Dehaze early in my processing steps. It's an option within the Develop module, very near the bottom pf the panel. It helps bring clarity and since it's a slider, so you can control the amount.

For this challenge I am making a point of commenting on a few images which fall in different places on my scoring. This fell in a broad middle range. I enjoy the delicate feel of the grey branches against the sky and the shapes of the branches in the center reaching towards the water and their reflection. However, the overall image feels too busy and I find my eye keeps jumping around, pulled from one place to another, from the top to the bottom and from side to side, never finding a place where it can come to rest.

I'm bumping my score a little. For this challenge I am making a point of commenting on a few images which fall in different places on my scoring. This one is "in a broad middle range". On this second pass I appreciate the intricate patterns you captured of the partly frozen water. A mixture of dragons and delicate leafy fronds I think. I feel that I might have preferred it without the distracting reflections, although I do like the color they provide.

Lovely pastoral scene and I like the choice of sepia toning. The single tree provides a good visual anchor for the image and the mist/fog provides the right degree of contrast to be able to appreciate all the details in the tree. Finally I find the grouping of that trio of sheep very appealing! Bump

For this challenge I am making a point of commenting on a few images which fall in different places on my scoring. This I scored "in the middle". The picture seems well exposed and rock and water make for an interesting combination. However I find my eye keeps jumping back and forth between the man and the highest point of the outcropping, each close to the edges of the picture. The distant background is tantalizingly hard to interpret and neither it nor the few clouds that show add a great deal.

Hang on, I want to join in in this adventure! Excellent restraint. More blur would have spoiled it entirely IMO. One of a few I gave my highest score to for this challenge.

Soft but clear. Nicely done. I'm impressed with the level of detail visible in the foreground.
