Ms. Miaoby iraeComment: Absolutely beautiful. Her skin glows like porcelain, but her hands and face are full of life and expression. The dress and surroundings are beautifully exotic. |

Fishingby David EyComment: This is a bit of a snapshot, but I love that guy, in his singlet with a ciggie hanging out of his mouth, looking unimpressed with his catch. It's funny :) |

First Catchby SwashbucklerComment: Hmm, if it was framed with the little boy a bit further from the edge, this would be really nice. I love the graceful curve of the fishing rod, and the way the chlidren are standing. The surroundings are beautifully oriental and exotic at least to an Australian like me :). |

Footballby karmatComment: Very interesting shot, hands being one of my favourite things. With better lighting it could have been a lot better, rather than just using the flash. |

Dominos under the Banya Treeby rampbComment: I can't help comparing this photo to the Mah Jongg photo, and finding that this one captures something a lot deeper in the attitudes and expressions of the participants. This really meets the challenge criteria more than most photos I've seen, because it shows us the people playing the games, and we can see the enjoyment, the concentration, the draw of the game, and the tension between the players. |

Preaknessby ClubJuggleComment: This is just a brilliant photo. I like pretty much everything about it, including the fact that the horse's shoulder is at the centre of the photo, leading the eye to wander around the shapes made by the rider's arms curving down to the bridle, and the rider's upper legs angling down to the horse's foreleg. It makes the horse and rider seem like one unit. There is even a parallel between the angle of the rider's head and the horse's head. A photo I can gaze at for a long time. I guess I'll have to give it 10 :) |
