John... Cold & Trying To Get Byby choltmeierComment: This is a great, emotive portrait. Really captures his story in his eyes. The low angle is perfect, seeing the street from Johns point of view and not being patronising at all. Being slightly lower than Johns eyelevel also brings out Johns dignity. I can almost smell the room, hear the kettle boiling in the kitchen, sit down next to her and listen to her story (whilst sniffing as i'm allergic to dogs). Extraordinary in its ordinary-ness.
