I've spent a lot of years on the world's oceans in another life and I've never seen water that color. Maybe a little over correction on the color scale? In any case, these scenes are problematic in that you're not seeing part of the action - this begs for an "action" shot which isn't there.

This is an image of empty space that actually works. The variations of blue, the linear effect works perfectly against the level horizon. A very calm, pleasing image.

I'm going to have to take a break after this one because I'm starting to get snarky in my comments. This is ok - a semi commercial image, a little washed out, nothing spectacular a good snapshot.

This photograph works seemingly because of a simple little thing- the girl on the right with what can fairly be called a dance pose. I don't think the photographer even noticed it, but it makes the entire image more than just a snapshot and saves the over dark conversion from being an also ran. Accidental images are the best.

Really really like this - not overly dark, but the impression of late evening is startling. Subtle coloration, water movement not over done - I'd like to see this win a top three slot if not win the challenge.
