Here's my problem with this. Its a good conversion, nice contrast/brightness control, levels are good - its very nice. But it took me too long to find the boy and his dog - it's almost a "where's Waldo" type image if you will.

I hate having to rate images lower than I'm accustomed to. My reasoning is that if you enter a challenge, you deserve to get at least a 5 and if it's lower, it has to be totally crappy or miss the concept by a wide margin. I like this, but it needs some help in the foreground - also a longer lens would have been more friendly to composing.

In my opinion, this is a good case for a slight crop off the bottom to refocus the eye on the subject and the powerful skyscape. 7 to 8

Again, a very small crop off the top would have made this a 10 image for sure. Still, I've changed the rating from a 7 (I must have been off my game the day I rated this challenge) to a 9. Like this image a lot.
