Waldo's Tropical Retreatby OlyuziComment: I'm not a huge fan of HDR images as I believe they can, and often are, overdone. However, in some cases, the intersection of art and image combine in a synergy of light and color that is very appealing. This is one of those circumstances. Well done. Not sure where this will place, but it deserves a top five finish. I don't think it will appeal to enough voters to win, but it should place very high. |

Au naturelby hajekaComment: Did you know that from a nutritional standpoint, a brown egg is no different than a white egg? The reason one is brown and one is white is due to the breed of chicken - that's it - just the breed of chicken.
Which has nothing to do with the image. Very clever, excellent composition and an apropos title. I've changed the rating from 8 to 9 on a rethink of the overall impact of the image. |

Slowly "Out of Circulation"by TiberiusComment: It is a crisp image and imparts a sense of depth and dimension which helps it a lot. Just a tad washed out in my opinion which changed it from a 9 to an 8. |

Light my Fireby Samantha_TComment: This should place very high - excellent composition as the image gets the point across very effectively. Well done. |

High Key Cougarby JulietNNComment: I'll be honest - I've come back to this eight times and I love it, then hate it, then I'm Meh about it. When in doubt, give the best mark you can I always say. :>) |

Gone Southby MelonMusketeerComment: I like this a lot - vaguely spooky, almost in a Grimm's Fairy Tale kind of way. Its the kind of image that would work as a stock shot for Halloween. Good solid entry. |

Necktie Partyby GeneralEComment: This might have worked better is there was some context to the image. I get the point - not sure others would. |

Pushing Up Daisiesby dtallaksonComment: Well, not to nit pick, but those are dandelions, not daisies but I take your point. I picked up on the bee immediately and wonder if that was intentional - cycle of life and all that stuff? Certainly meets the challenge criteria.
UPDATE: Turns out that a dandelion is a member of the Asteraceae family which - ahem - is a daisy. My apologies. :>) |

Matureby lobrinComment: This would be a great image for a character study. It looks like a candid and technically very good. There is a lot of living in that face - a history that begs to be told. Nice capture - well done. I'm not exactly sure how this is a euphemism but then again, not all images in this challenge were. |
