Nice shot here, love all the white buildings along the horizon. You have two competing subjects here though, the patterns in the water and the buildings. I can't decide which one to look at as the main focus and I don't think that's helping my appreciation of the scene overall.

Excellent use of grain here to add drama to an already dramatic shot. I love the detail and the force of the photo, it's the sort of shot that almost wants to make me take a step back from it!

I don't know whether it would be better with or without the rider included, but because I can see a small part of the rider, it does want to make me see more.

This is the sort of shot where I don't think grain works at all. Flowers for me should be clear and crisp with vivid colours.

Shot feels a bit tight for me, like you've cropped a small part out of a much larger shot. The grain works towards the drama in the sky, but the sky itself looks a little fake, perhaps a touch overdone?

This has the perfect drama for the "added gain" type shot. I'm afraid I don't get the title, possibly I'm missing something but you have have done a great job of telling one story at least.

Nice enough picture, but firstly I don't see the grain, and secondly, even if there was grain, it's certainly not the sort of shot that I think would benefit from it.

I can only assume you are referring to the speckles in the background, but that isn't film grain as the challenge intended.
