Look Mom, I'm a Winner!!!by bspurgeonComment: Heh, cute! Ignoring the ribbon for a second, this is a really nice portrait. Great detail in the face and eyes and a nice composition too. I'm wondering if it would be better in colour though.
The ribbon obviously brings it into the challenge too and it's a great original way to present it! 9 from me. |

"Trust me! They won't see any smoke."by CEJComment: I was fully expecting to see some woodys in this challenge, glad I wasn't disappointed.
Not sure what exactly the message you're trying to convey here, it's clear they're going to burn the ribbons, but it's not entirely clear why, or am I just overthinking this? |

True Blue Clarkby BlackboxComment: Heh, I'm sure this isn't related directly to DPC, but nice find nonetheless!
Nice contrast of colours here, especially the white against the deep blue sky. The composition is a bit strange, it's almost centred but at an angle at the same time. Still, nice bright cheery image, good to see one outdoors in this challenge! |

The Coveted Oneby AmmieComment: That's quite a collection you've got there!
There's a couple of things I don't like here. Firstly there's a strange red tint to the whole image. Second is the carpet / rug you have used as the backdrop. It doesn't add anything at all to the image and is just kinda in the way. Lastly is the angle, it's not quite straight on, but it's not really angled, it's just lingering in that 'in between' kinda area. |

Advanced Aperture: Built-In Ribbonizerby ronaldfwComment: Wouldn't that be nice!
Good concept, the whole things quite dark, which I'm guessing was your intention but it doesn't really work for me.
There also appears to be some banding of the blue round the edge, and I'm guessing you've applied a blur layer here with a mask but it's picked up the edges of the camera and made it look a touch soft. |

gently drifting...by IreneMComment: Nicely done, simple, elegant, clear and sharp. This comes across much better than many of the elaborate shots in the challenge. 8. |

Optimismby CharleneComment: Not sure if calling it a 5 year plan is optimistic or not!
Step away from the ordinary this shot. It looks a bit flat in B&W, might have been nice had that ribbon been in colour. |
